Researchers in Madison, Wisconsin have discovered that 14% of middle-aged Americans have some sort of hearing loss. For those aged 48 to 59, that percentage jumps to around 20%, and for those 80 years old and older, the percentage skyrockets to 90%. The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health research study included 3,285 subjects from 21 to 84 years of age.
I've had three different hearing aids in my life, and the Motion 501 ITE is the best and most comfortable out of all of them. It isn't very hidden on my ear, but it is quite stylish. My hearing loss isn't severe, so I wasn't in need of something too strong. If you have severe hearing loss this many not be the one for you. I have it on the second to highest setting and it is perfect for me. If you are looking for an everyday hearing aid I would recommend this one.

The Siemens brand is reliable and was recommended to me by an eye care specialist near my home. After looking at several models the Intuis looked like it would fit my shape of ear correctly. The feedback is non-existent and the initial settings for the 4 programs were applicable to my needs. I recommend this hearing aid.

My niece was recommended this hearing aid by our ophthalmologist and it has been great to us ever since. The battery was very easy to change due to the convenient but secure battery door. Plus, she could not accidentally dislodge the battery while playing. Phonk is a good brand.

This is such a great quality hearing aid and doesn't cost nearly as much as other hearing aids. I've had hearing aids that have cost me thousands, and this is one of the more consistent devices that I've owned. Good thing for insurance providing me with a good mold. I use it with my Audina and they pair greatly. It comes with tubing and mold tips that you can use if you don't have a ear mold customized for yourself. If you don't have insurance or a budget that can suffice for a top-grade…

My only hearing aid experience has been with the Micro Savia. I liked it pretty much but the dang remote control would never last because I like to adjust my aid when I go outside or get on the train since it is noisy. The actual hearing aid battery lasts fairly well. I recommend that you adjust the little plastic part that goes into your ear. For me it was too big. Nice color.

I've actually had a pleasant experience with the Phonak Eleva. Watching TV and commercials are usually fine for me, but I've been having trouble picking up voices over loud background noise. Very frustrating and difficult to enjoy. The Eleva made the pitch a bit higher and audible. They arent as soft as they should be, the ear piece isnt shaped to my liking.

CIC hearing aids are always my preference, and my doctor showed me the Siemens Nitro. It gave a snug fit which made me happy. It matters to me what people can see on the outside of my ear and this is completely in the ear canal so it is practically invisible. It improves my hearing very well and I use my hearing aid everyday to make sure I understand everything that my family says to me. Nitro has made my life easier!

I like the Phonk PowerMaxx. This was my only option in my area, but they carried the best and I am lucky. I don't experience feedback and the fit is comfortable. Would rate higher but it is bulky and adds weight to my ears.

I bought two Unitron Fuse hearing aids in early November and they've been nothing but trouble. My audiologist has been on speeddial ever since. Right when I put my left hearing aid in it begins to send horrible feedback. Really hurts. My replacement could not be used with my telephone. They advertise that none of these problems exist but I am testament to the opposite. I'm glad for these other positive reviews of different hearing aids because I have had bad luck in many instances. Maybe…
